Grand Teton
Though I have included a few pictures from Grand Teton National Park in a previous project about reflections, I thought I would gather together all of my favorite images from this park into a single dedicated collection. These pictures were taken during two trips, one in 2010 and the other in 2013, but all were recently reprocessed (2019) with current software tools and my considerably evolved processing preferences. When evaluating candidates for inclusion, I often found myself debating between a pair of similar images: two pictures taken of the same basic subject but varying with respect to light and/or processing. Adopting the philosophy that a variety of perspectives can add value (in both life and photography), I usually chose to include both interpretations.

Mount Moran reflected in the Snake River (Oxbow Bend) in the blue hour before sunrise...

The Teton range viewed from the Beaver Pond at Schwabacher Landing just after sunrise...

...and a few minutes later when the sun was a bit higher.

Though I'm sure that the homesteader who built this cabin in 1890 (Pierce Cunningham) had a hard life, he at least had the compensation of an amazing view!
